Comments about Airaid Modular Intake Tube:
The MIT is a quality piece with superior hardware and packaging, but to get it to fit my 2000 K1500 5.3L I had to pull the airbox off one of it's two push pin mounts to allow the box to shift as well as slightly angling the Airaid supplied coupler at the MAF to get the angle of the MIT and factory airbox to match up. The MIT needs more angle to it...like 10 deg. or so. Also, it is exactly like the stock intake without the silencers. They didn't do anything to smooth out the elbow at the TB, when they have at least 2" of clearance to the fan / shroud they could have utilized. For the price, (-$40 coupon code [...]) I'm happy with it, but not at retail pricing.
