I started opening them in the store so I wouldn't have to come back and return them. I tryed out three and returned three. One lost power and two didn't know the difference between east and west. Save your receipt.

Bought this for my dad. He wanted a digital compass, but didn't want a large unit sitting on his dash. The electronic (battery) unit attaches to the display with a cable. The cable is too short to fit around the mirror on his car. We had to stick the electronic unit on top of the mirror. Very unsightly. The display is impossible to read at night. The back-light washes out the display. Biggest problem is the reading is not always accurate. Keep your money in your wallet.

Used one in my Nissan p-up truck, worked OK, hard to read, barely usable at night. New one I just got would NOT work in my Mazda Miata, regardless of placement. Be prepared to take it back.

You can't read it in the when it is sunny, or cloudy, or night time. Says it has a backlight, but it didn't seem like it to me. Looks good inside the house!I couldn't tell if it was accurate because I could never see it.

Unit works well, except once in awhile, it would flash a different direction for a second or so. I'm a very picky person, so this probably wouldn't bother anyone else. If you mount it on the mirror, it's hard to read. Backlight is not very bright. Double sided tape covers are very hard to remove. If you want a compass that works well and aren't OCD, then this one works well!

Great product for the money. I was a little skeptical at first, but decided, what the heck, if it doesn't work, I can take it back. The double sided tape liner is hard to remove! Other than that, 2 thumbs up!

I liked the style of this inside/outside thermometer and the fact that it operated on batteries instead of having another cord to the cigarette lighter. However, it stopped displaying the readings while I was deciding where to mount it in my truck. Had to send back to company at my expense for a replacement/repair.
