easy to install on license plate of a 2000 Tundra. Lasts about 2-3 years. I think the vibration overtime wears these bulbs out quicker because it seems like I'm replacing these bulbs every 2-3 years. But overall they work great and provide plenty of light for one to read the license plate at night.

This part Sylvania Long Life Incandescent Mini Bulb, Part No. 168 LL is an exact fit for your 2006 Acura RL. General Installation instructions: 1. Engage the parking brake and turn off the ignition of your vehicle (Acura). Open the trunk to locate and remove the trunk liner at the rear of the tail light assembly., 2. Remove the three retaining nuts from the mounting studs at the rear of the tail light assembly by turning them counter-clockwise with a wrench. Set the nuts aside for use later during re-installation., 3. Pull the tail light assembly from the back of the vehicle until you can see the electrical wiring connector on the rear of the assembly. Press the clip on the connector and pull it off the back of the bulb socket to remove it., 4. Pull the tail light assembly out far enough to reach the bulb socket. Turn the bulb socket counter-clockwise to detach it from the assembly. Pull the bulb out of the socket and replace it with the new bulb., 5. Attach the electrical wiring connector to the back of the bulb socket. Insert the bulb socket back into the tail light assembly and turn it clockwise to lock it into place., 6. Insert the tail light assembly back into the vehicle, aligning the mounting studs with the cavities in the body of the vehicle. Replace the retaining nuts on the studs and turn them clockwise until they are tightened. Replace the trunk liner, close the trunk and test the new tail light to ensure it has been assembled properly. 7. Wear latex gloves when handling the tail light bulb. Oil from your skin can cause the glass to shatter. Installation difficulty depends on the ability of the installer. If you have never performed this installation then it is moderately difficult, and I would recommend consulting a mechanic.

Pop off the cap and remove the screws inside. That should allow you to get access to the bulb.
