Replaced the 6 yr old lift struts on the back gate of my '05 Grand Caravan. Did not realize how bad the old ones were till I replaced them. The old ones were creaking and would barely lift the gate with assistance.
Install was pretty simple, but having a second person to help makes it easier. when one is removed the gate drops and you need to hold it up to install it. I did it in the parking lot of the parts store. I needed a special star bit to do it but other than that no issue.
Would buy these again no problem. Still working well when we sold the vehicle 3 years after install.

I forgot how the liftgate worked years ago! Went from it falling on me (with the worn out lifters), to popping up on its own (almost caught me on the chin!) BIG IMPROVEMENT!

This lift is pretty easy to install but get a second person to hold the liftgate up slightly to make sure the mounting bolt starts in the threads straight.

This part Strong Arm Lift Support, Part No. C4535 has limited lifetime replacement as warranty. This warranty is valid for 90 days from the date of purchase or any longer warranty period that may be printed on your original sales receipt. In addition, you must be the original purchaser of the part and still own the vehicle on which it was installed. This warranty cannot be transferred to anyone at any time. Replacement parts are warranted for 90 days from the date of exchange or the remainder of the warranty period, whichever is longer. Warranty periods may vary from part to part.
