I have to admit that, even after reading positive reviews, I was a sceptic. I got this for my son's very weathered Hyundai headlights. We followed the directions but were still a little unsure as step one made the headlights look terrible; so, we watched the YouTube video and were reassured that indeed the lights should look like they did. After completing the remainder of the steps, we stood back and admired the result: absolutely amazing. As my son said, "It makes the whole car look better!" All-in-all a great product. It is a little messy but not too bad and the results are worth the effort and mess. It probably took the better part of two hours but we worked slowly and took breaks.

If you want good results you can't rush this. Follow 3M's recommendation to clean the sanding dust off the lens & sanding pad frequently. I used a blow-off nozzle to do that. Make sure the surface is evenly hazed at each step - no scratches standing out. It looks scary until you get to the wet-pad standing - then the clarity returns. Too bad 3M does not sell the pads, discs, etc. as refills - you have to buy a whole new kit.

I didn't actually do the headlights as my brother assisted my son to clean up the headlights on his newly purchased, used 1998 Acura. The results are amazing! They look like new and it makes the whole care look newer. I plan on doing my headlights as well on my 2004 Toyota that have become hazy.

I would definitely recommend this kit to anyone who wants to clean up their headlights. It works!!!

I must say the final results exceeded my expectations! Yes, this product does work as advertised.

After masking off both headlight assemblies I decided to do each step on each lens before moving on. Such as step 4 on the L then step 4 on the R. Doing it this way allowed me to complete each step without having to back track from side to side.

It was amazing to see this clear shinny lens appear beneath my drill right before my eyes! Yep, this stuff works!!

worked very well. didn't mind not getting it perfect since my car is 15 years old. wished it would have had an additional trizact foam disc for final sanding. the only one i had started shredding on the first lens, so be more gentle than you think with it. couldn't wait to drive in dark to see difference - and it was a huge difference. safer!!! would buy again! easy to use. 30-45 minutes. tape around it well. read and follow the directions and you can't go wrong! almost perfect.

my 2003 maxima headlights were real bad off, i tried diffrent cleaners and cleaner waxes but barely even changed. I bought this kit and omg!! The whole sanding with drill process is amazing! Lights look brand new now. 30 mins each light it took. I went to [@] and bought a $50 corded drill as i only have cordless. I returned drill next day lol. This 3m renewel kit is the best!! if i could post pics u would see how amazing!!

Recently, my grandson had an occasion to drive my car. He noticed that my headlights were dull and had a yellowish appearance. He decided to purchase the 3M Lens Renewal Kit with Protectant and clean them for me. WOW, what a difference this made to my headlamps! I am 83 and I can see when I drive! This product worked great. I had tried the Meguiars plastic cleaner previous and it did nothing so I had very little hope when buying this kit. It was quite a bit of work but I am a perfectionist so I probably did more than what was necessary. I would say the lenses cleaned up to 90% back to OEM. They are definitely clear but there is still a look to them like they are dirty which may be inside. It is still such a major improvement the kit is well worth the time and effort. I hope it holds up but will certainly buy this again in the future if need be.
