Installed in a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder that was at 110,000 miles on the original platinum plugs (yeah, I know, missed the suggested time to replace). I like that they are pre-gapped and looked awesome compared to the very worn/aged plugs that came out.

Product fit well (no threading issues) and the rig started up and ran like a champ. It definitely has better "get-up" and I'm averaging an extra 1.5 miles per gallon (which I calculate upon every fill-up and have been for the last 3 years).

Because the throttle body had to be removed to access certain plugs, it was cleaned thoroughly during this install. Not sure if this is why I'm getting better throttle response (probably), but I do believe the plugs have slightly increase my overall power and slightly increased my gas mileage.

Hey, I'll take it. I've only had these in for a couple weeks now, but I'm a believer. Good product.

The box was crushed for two of the three plugs. Furthermore, the protective cardboard cylinder was missing from one plug.

Replaced the plugs on my 2006 Infiniti M35x. The original plugs which are these same NGK plugs, were still operating OK despite having 162K miles on them and having a gap of over twice that of the .043 factory specs. I would say a very good and durable plug.

                          A:

The spark plug heat range has no relationship to the electrical energy transferred through the spark plug. The heat range of a spark plug is the range in which the plug works well thermally. The heat range must be carefully selected for proper spark plug thermal performance. If the heat range is not optimal, then serious trouble can be the result. The factory specified heat range for your 2005 Nissan Xterra is 5 and hence I would recommend the NGK Laser Platinum Spark Plug (PLFR5A-11) - Part No. 6240. The bigger the spark plug gap, the more air/fuel mixture will come into contact with the spark and the easier it will be to ignite the air/fuel mixture. The proper gap for your vehicle would be 0.040 to 0.043.
