I was looking to purchase a decent, long-lasting jumper cable for my vehicle. I bought sight unseen, based on user reviews, which is something that I do not usually do. I must say that I'm completely satisfied. Now, could you find a cheaper set? A more expensive set? Yes---to both questions, however, I feel that these jumper cables are very high quality for the price. Not too mention a full 20ft of cable. I am completely satisfied with my purchase and would recommend to anyone who is in the market for a high quality set of jumper cables.

I thought that I was getting quality cables with 4 gauge wire. I purchased three sets, one for each of my vehicles. I could not jump car with these. It would power instrument panel but would not even turn the starter. I tried two of the three sets. I did not try the third set. I even took the dead battery out of the equation and went straight to the positive lead on the dead car and it still would not start. I took the battery out of the car with the good battery and placed in the car with the bad battery and the car started just fine. I am glad that this happened at home. You cannot count on these when you need them. I honestly think that the wire size is fine and that the problem is with them clamps.

Comments about Autocraft 4 Gauge 20' Jumper Cable:
My "old" jumper cable was too thin and weak; I need to upgrade... this prodcut is it. It's 4 guage and length is more than enough for the casual/average driver. I suggest buying it!

Comments about Autocraft 4 Gauge 20' Jumper Cable:
The only way to improve these Jumper Cables is if they came with a durable storage bag. That would keep them from getting tangled up.

Comments about Autocraft 4 Gauge 20' Jumper Cable:
Starting a dead battery from my automobile. Jumping Cables are BETTER than the old cheap pair I used to have. Thick 4 Gauge 20' cables that start a dead battery within minutes. Cables do not get hot like the cheap cables when trying to jump a dead battery.

Comments about Autocraft 4 Gauge 20' Jumper Cable:
These cables are better quality than the 8 guage. They cost more, but these cables seem more heavy-duty than the thinner ones. Less likely to get hot and melt the plastic coating. And the extra length (20') may be helpful if I ever need to use them.

Heavy duty and long enough for most applications. We know have 3 sets of these. One in each car.

Q:
There seems to be some disagreement regarding whether these cables have copper conductors or copper-clad aluminum conductors. What is the actual (not shipping) weight of the cables? 20 feet of two 4-gauge copper welding cables (40 feet total) should weigh about 7.2 lbs, and adding the weight of 4 clamps would make the total weight around 10 lbs if they are all copper. Depending on the type of aluminum used, copper-clad aluminum would weigh 2-3 lbs less.1 answer

The ones I have are 20'. 20' is an ideal length because you can pull up behind a stalled vehicle and the cables are long enough reach around the vehicle in front of you and still have enough length to connect them.Q:
You know, the length of this item is kind of important information for customers to know.2 answers
