This unit is very easy to use. Not much need for instructions, easy to read. Purchased unit due to chasing a evap problem on a 2007 Town & Country. Had it in the shop twice and they were not able to find the problem. The unit actually told us to check 3 items, gas cap (ended up fine), then hose under the air filter box (this ended up being the issue with a small split in the hose where it goes up into the air cleaner box). So keep in mind 2 different garages said they could not find the problem with machines that cost thousands of dollars. Also had a family member that had ABS light come on, plugged the unit in and it identified that the left front was the issue. Took it apart and found the wheel bearing starting to go bad and the metal dust from the bad bearing had blocked the sensor, $82 for a wheel bearing and all problems are gone.

I was having problems with my Jeep. The dealer couldn't fix it. They put on two parts in two visits and I still had the same problem. Reading the codes with the tool, I found there were eight codes stored. Hmmm, how can you fix eight codes with a part. I started looking at the wiring in the left front inner fender well. Found chaffed wiring. Problem solved.

Used on my 2005 Grand Am with ABS lights on, found it was a front hub and sensor needed changed. The display is very easy to read, everything you need to know is right at your finger tips almost. I do highly recommend this scanner to others.

This code reader is pretty good. I use it to view live data of running sensors to determine their functionality as well as to determine what sensors will be needing replacement soon. My favorite function of this is that it can be updated via USB and that it will display the most reported fixes to the codes that are listed. Even if you don't do the repair work yourself, you can use this to help ensure you're not ripped off by a questionable mechanic.

Works on US Cars and Trucks as per product description. Provides fixes for most error codes and provides translation as to what you should try to fix. Easy to use, no need for complex manual. Need to update software on your computer berfore you start using, but this is easy

I am not a professional Auto Mechanic by any means and find the CP9580 easy to use. This device has made mechanical diagnostics so convenient. Most repairs were simple and only the code number is required to point to the problem, which any simple reader can provide. However, on one occasion I had a code for the EGR valve on a GM vehicle with 180K miles, which would cost just short of what the CP9580 cost. The EGR valve was easy to pull and inspect. It did not look bad, no real carbon buildup, and the plunger moved freely. I found on the web a procedure for GM cars on how to recalibrated the EGR for wear, which had no effect. Using "Code Connect" the number one top reported fix for this code was not the EGR Valve, but the Catalytic Converter. I was surprised! I would have never thought to look at the catalytic converter on my own. Upon inspection of the catalytic converter, I could hear and feel something loose and rattling in the can with the engine idling, especially with a second person revving the engine. You could not hear this inside the vehicle, or even standing outside the vehicle. Realizing that a partially blocked exhaust and the back pressure it can cause could effect the EGR valve, I replaced the catalytic converter which did in fact fix the issue. The CP9580 with Code Connect saved me the cost of replacing a good EGR Valve had I just gone by the code number. Basically, the CP9580 has paid for itself.
Works Great and gives you lots of info to make your repair done right the first time!
