                      A:

After installing the new passlock switch follow these instructions. Attempt to start the car. When it does not start leave the key in the on/run position. Leave it there for 10 minutes. After ten minutes turn the key off and then back to the on/run position without trying to start the vehicle. Wait ten more minutes and turn it off and then back on again. After ten minutes the third time turn the key off and then try and start the vehicle. This will reprogram the system. For any further assistance, please visit your nearest Advance Auto store or call us directly at 1-877-ADVANCE (238-2623) and one of our representatives there would be more than happy to assist you.

                      A:

Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. Now attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON. If vehicle do not start, observe the security telltale. After approximately 10 minutes the telltale will turn OFF. Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds. The vehicle is now ready to relearn the Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle. Start the engine, the vehicle has now learned the Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or password. With a scan tool, clear any DTCs if needed, history DTCs will self clear after 100 ignition cycles.
