I got four of these to replace all four coils on my Mazda RX-8 after having misfires on rotor#2. The factory coils on this vehicle are famous for their short lifetime.
They were easy to replace and restored the car's performance to what it was like when new. The part numbers on the new coils were the same except for a B instead of an A at the end. Hopefully, this means a re-engineered part that will last longer than the original coils did (30K miles). Even if they don't, at least they have a lifetime warranty. Given that I got all four from Advanced Auto for the price Mazda wanted for one with no warranty, I couldn't be happier!

I ordered 4 of these coils. I should have looked them over before i left the store because the next day I noticed two had been used. So, when I went to the store around the corner to exchange them, one was at a store across town, and one more all the way on the other side of town. Imagine my frustration. I looked the replacements over and noticed one was missing the metal cylinder inside on the top of the coil. So yet again i went to my local store and had to wait a couple days while they ordered me one more.
Besides all that, they work great, just remember to look over your parts before you leave the store!

I bought these to replace the factory coils on my 04 Mazda RX8. These coil did not last long only for a month or two. After a while the coils will start to go bad because they arent made to be used on a RX8. I purchase these coil and later had to take them back because my car starting misfiring again because a coil went out. Advance auto gladly replaced the coils but after a couple weeks later my car started misfiring. These coil would be great for any other car. I recommend that if you are going to buy these for a RX8. DONT!!! Save your money and go with a ignition upgrade kits. They might be expensive but purchasing their kits will save you money later.

After 40k miles on my '05 RX8, the original ignition coils were on their way out. These replacements look exactly like the original Mazda coils. I think they might be made by the same company. Anyway, the replacements brought my engine back to life. Good choice for anyone needing replacement coils for their RX8 who doesn't want to pay the Mazda Parts premium.

Purchased to replace failing coils on 2004 Mazda RX-8. Very easy install, replaced all 4 coils in about 30 minutes. Restored all lost power, smoothed out idle and low rpm torque. Restored performance back to stock. I would also recommend changing spark plugs and wires at the same time as the RX8 is known to wear them quickly and bad plugs can cause stress on the coils. Advance has great pricing on all these items. Shipping was quick as well.

Great job on Advance Auto Parts. I took advantage of their discount offer which nobody else could match. The parts were good quality and they arrived on time with clear instructions in case they needed to be returned. My car runs much better and I saved a lot of money in the process.
