Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions HVA/C Air Door Actuator:
My 2001 GMC truck was stuck on heat outputdue to a faulty acuator. I had to return the original unit since it appeared that someone had previusly opened the package and energized it before mounting, which caused the motion range, according to the indicators on the unit, to be out of range or calibration. The replacement unit worked well. Good value for the money!

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions HVA/C Air Door Actuator:
This part took about two minutes to install, once all the access panels had been removed. It even had a warning message to wait to engerizing the motor until after it was installed. This was very helpful to me as I like to check out parts before I put things back together. After following their directions there were no problems getting it to work.

It should be located behind the dash board on the passenger side.Q:
witch air blend door controls heating air tempature from cold to hot? upper or lower air blend door actuator ??2 answers
A:
I used one of these to replace the underdash actuator. Common amongst Tahoes and Suburbans is the actuator failing to the hot side; not fun in the summer! This is the actuator that frequently fails.A:
It is the lower one. It's right above the trans hump right down next to the carpet.
