Comments about Mr. Gasket Hood Pins:
To be blunt, they are hood pins and do what they are intended for. When you install them they hold down your CF or FG hood, and do a pretty decent job.
The problem is they are made of basic steel and coated with a thin layer of chrome. After a few uses of latching/unlatching the hairpin, scuffs are left on the hood pin which begin to rust almost immediately.
The round scuff plate that you attach to the hood is made of low gauge steel which deforms when it is screwed down. The screws skew it and bend it out of shape leaving the whole product unattractive.
Opt for something more expensive or made out of aluminum instead, and skip these.
