Comments about Ready-Aire Heater Core:
I replaced the heater core on a 04 4-cyl Ranger in the dead of winter. It req'd removing the entire dashboard. When I noted the antifreeze aroma in the cab of my 94 V6 Ranger, I was in no hurry to replace it. I disconnected the heater hoses from the core tubes & spliced them together in September. It's November now; I need some heat. I checked my manual again only to learn there is an access panel in the cab of the 94. I finished the job in less than 30 min. Clear windows & warm hands!!

End caps are not original specs, I had to modify my foam protective caps to make it fit. Slightly bigger than orig. equipment

How do I replace heater core in 93 Ford Ranger1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
For help with your project, I recommend getting a repair manual specifically for your vehicle. It should be able to help you with detailed instructions on how to do many things.Q:
how long dose it take to put one in1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
It all depends on the skill level of the person doing the job.Q:
my heater worked fine until i put a stop lead in my system to stop the leak. 3 days later my heater quit working1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Your heater core most likely became clogged due to either the stop leak or another factor. Another possible cause is that just the heater valve became clogged or just isnt opening.
