This product worked great! The headlight looks brand new. Especially when compared to the other side which is brand new. The package is designed for restoring both headlights however, I used one package on one headlight. You may be able to get two headlights if they are not to bad. I didn't want to use the drill version as I was afraid it might melt the headlight if left in place to long. Some elbow grease is all it takes. Take your time to do it and it will come out looking really good. And I was thinking about buying a new headlight.... no need to with this product.

There is a lot of sanding. I would suggest getting the kit that uses your drill to cut down on manual sanding, but the product does what it says it will.

This is by far the best product I have used for headlight restoration. I used it on my '02 Civic and would recommend this product to anyone. THe price is good if you compare it to buying new headlights! I will be buying one for my dad.

My prius headlight covers were yellow and hazy. The 3M kit had everything I needed ( I need my own drill motor) and had clear and easy directions. I liked the video that it suggested. I used it and they are now clear and look like new. I will recommend this product.

Great product. Don't be bashful with the sand paper. I used every piece of paper on two headlights. Much easier with the pad for the drill which this doesn't have.

This works great. It seems like a lot of steps when you first look at the instructions, but there's nothing complex about any of it - it's just a bit tedious. Like the other reviews say, the longer you sand at each stage, the better the results will be. I had just replaced one of my headlights, and when I was done with the others, I could hardly tell the difference between the new one and the old ones.

Be sure to tape off the surrounding paint to keep from sanding through your clearcoat. It may be scary at first to see how the first round of sanding goes but stick with it. Follow the instructions and this product will restore your lights back to near new. This is a much better alternative than paying big bucks for replacement lights.

This product is very easy to use. Just follow the directions and you will get the results you want. Very effective though this is the first kit I tried I wouldn't even try any of the others. Doing it by hand gives you more control during the whole process. I don't recommend using a drill as the circular pattern it creates may be a bit harder to get out of the plastic. Moving your hand straight across the surface gave me the best results. The only thing this kit is missing is the masking tape needed to protect your paint around the light. So don't forget to pick some up. If you have dull headlight housings GET THIS KIT. You will not be disappointed.

This was very easy to use and worth the effort. Takes about 45 minutes per headlight to do it right, but the results look just like a new headlight.

Instructions to use the restoration kit
Mask painted area around the headlight to be restored using 3M masking tape.
Place back-up pad from the 3M Headlight Lens Restoration System in the drill. Put the soft interface pad on the back up pad, then sand surface of the plastic headlight with the gold, white and gray sandpaper discs.
Remove the gray sandpaper disc and replace it with the orange polishing pad. Place a dime size amount of the lens polish on the surface of the pad. Wipe the compound over the surface of the lens. Using the drill, polish the surface of the plastic lens to a restored finish.
Using water and a 3M Microfiber Detail Cloth, wash the surface of the headlight and any surrounding area that might have been splashed with the lens polish.
Clean and polish the area surrounding the headlight with 3M One Step Cleaner Wax to restore luster and shineAnswered on 4/2/2012 by Steve from AAP
