My Headlight were very yellow and hazy, light output sucked bad.
I followed the dirrections and had both headlights looking great in less than 1 hour. They do not look new so don't expect that but they are a 300% improvement and much safer too.
The one thing that was not included that I bought was the Blue Magic Headlight SLR this is a UV protector that should make this repair last.
The polish also cleans DVDs, CDs, glasses and Touch screens very well.

Comments about 3M Headlight Lens Restoration System:
It took 3hrs for 1 head light only because there was not enough gold sand disc I had to use them untill they didn't have any grit on the paper. At least make it so you can buy the disc's not in a kit it would have took half the time.

Comments about 3M Headlight Lens Restoration System:
Used on a 2004 Mustang, w compound curvature headlight lenses. Very, very yellow, hazy, & pitted.
Wasn't my car so unsure of light output, if any.
My first time doing this procedure.
I wonder what condition the lenses were of the others beening able to do this in 1 hr or less and if it was their 1st time too!
I followed the directions and had both headlights looking great in less than 5 hours. They do not look new, but a great improvement and I'm sure the light output greatly improved.
Still have some pitting and some yellow hazing in corners that were difficult to get into.
That was enuff time spent, maybe next year I'll do more time and do those areas by hand.

I have used other brands/kits to clean headlights with poor results. The 3M headlight restoration kit works. I have used it on a few cars and I gave it to a family member and they loved it. Try it!!

Comments about 3M Headlight Lens Restoration System:
Completely restored the headlight lenses on our Taurus. I have since purchased another kit to restore the lenses on our Expedition. The kits I used required a power drill so I can't comment on other kit versions.
Comments about 3M Headlight Lens Restoration System:
I hesitated to use a product like this, but I figured I had nothing to lose on a 2002 Odyssey with significant lens discoloration. I followed step by step directions and was initially discouraged because it almost seemed to be getting worse as I went. Regardless, I kept sanding and followed the steps. It was not until the end when I applied the rubbing compund did I realize how well it actually worked. Hang in there. Take your time with each step and you will be very happy with the results. My lens are like new.

Comments about 3M Headlight Lens Restoration System:
One of the headlight lenses on my 2004 Kia Sedona was really weathered. I had replaced the other side a few years ago.Masking around the lens is very important. I would suggest at least a 2 in wide band doubled for better protection. Take the time to thoroughly sand the lens at each stage for best results. A considerable improvement. Impressive! Be careful with the rubbing compound. It bleaches clothing.

Bought product for 3M name and reviews!
Works great, quick and easy. Just follow directions and your headlight lenses look like they are new from the factory in 15 min.
One recomendation is to use an Electric Drill my 18v li-ion didn't have the RPMS needed to really polish the lenses!
Again great results - for the price!

The basic difference between the 3M Headlight Lens Restoration System - Part No. 39008 and the 3M Lens Renewal Kit, 39014 - Part No. 39014 is only the process. If I put 3M protective film on the lens following cleaning will the repair be permanent? If I spray clear coat (automotive paint finish) on the lens following repair will the repair be permanent?2 answers
A:
Since "John the Car-Doc" can't read... If you want the restoration to last you will need to put some kind of protective coating on the lenses. Automotive clear coat should work very well, and last even longer if you regularly wax the lenses with a quality UV protective wax also.CUSTOMER CARE

does this product remove scaley oxidation2 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes, this should work fine on your application.A:
If used correctly, dry sand the 500 grit on the lens, clean, and repeat 2 more times, and do the same 3 times with 800 and 3000 grit sanding discs, then follow with the compound 3 times, you will get the clear lens as advertised. I do recommend following the compound with a glaze, and 3m ultra finishing paste all with the same orange pad. I also use a good sealant after completed just to keep the lens cleaner longer. This process will give you crystal clear lens that look brand new. NOT EXAGGERATING HERE. I clean headlights for a living and use this product on a regular basis. Of course I buy each different product in bulk, but the same products.Q:

That must be it. Our 1998 Chrysler Town&Country van lenses were very bad, making our low-beams almost useless. Friends & neighbors with other Chrysler vehicles had similar stories. Yet plenty of other older vehicles of other makes in the same neighborhood look fine.CUSTOMER CARE
