Product is EXPENSIVE in light of the fact that it removes heavy headlight plastic oxidation no better than standard four buck a can Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound applied with some rags and pressure in a circular motion. Contacting company for refund as per 'gurantee' ( brings to mind the old Chris Farley "I can take a *dump* in a box and stamp it guranteed..." routine ).

Comments about Meguiar's Headlight and Clear Plastic Restoration Kit:
This product does what it says. It comes with a polishing wheel that you can use with your cordless drill. Each head light took a few minutes to complete. The head lights in my Maxima look great now.

Comments about Meguiar's Headlight and Clear Plastic Restoration Kit:
Kits come with a drill attachment buffer pad, small bottle of plasti-x and a small towel. You could just buy the plasti-x and use a towel and get the same results.

Comments about Meguiar's Headlight and Clear Plastic Restoration Kit:
The product is extremely easy to use. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow (You can even visit Meguiar's website for a video demonstration of the product). I was shocked by how well it worked. One of my wife's headlights was very oxidized and this product has made it look brand new! I had to spend time cleaning the other headlight so that they would match! This is the first time I have ever used a product like this and had no problems. Excellent product!

Comments about Meguiar's Headlight and Clear Plastic Restoration Kit:
Spent an hour on each headlight of 2003 Hundai with the electric drill. There was some improvement, but barely. Returned it to store for refund. Will try 3M product and see if that is any better.

can I use this on plastic lens? and what about glass?2 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
This is meant to be used on plastic and not glass.A:
This is for use on plastic only. May be good to protect a lens that is in good shape.Q:
How does this product get applied . Do you put it on the outside of the lense ro the inside and what if it is a sealed unit ?2 answers

A:
Hi Mike, I actually went to Flagler and am also named Mike. No, this only removes 'fogging' in name only. The fogging referred to is actually oxidation of the outermost layer of plastic on the lens and is caused by exposure to road salt or other corrosives. If you have real fog, i.e. water inside the lense housing (usually caused by a loose seal at the bulb base) the you need to take them out and towl them out, finishing with a hair dryer.
