I had nothing to loose as i got a $800 quote to fix.I had a internal coolant leak, bubbles in the overflow, smelling coolant , and idle was all over the place. Mechanic told me HEADGASKET..1996 Honda. You must follow the directions, I added 1/2 bottle to my radiator slowly and shook up bottle between pours. Started car and let it idle for about 20 min.Let sit for about a hour. Popped radiator cap off and filled with coolant. Car started kinda rough, but it immediatly cleared up and runs better than ever. I put 638 miles on it so far no problems. Follow the directions and this should take care of your problem.

In theory this stuff should do the job, but it didn't have any effect on the problem in my car. I suspect it's because I have a leak on the exhaust side and that just blows this stuff away from the gap or hole. It might work if the coolant is seeping into a cylinder or into the oil.

suspect blown head gasket losing coolant thru overflow bottle,just follow instructions on bottle flushed radiator installed a little over half bottle plus add coolant and after a couple days no coolant loss so far so good.

I followed the instructions exactly. The gasket fix did not seal the gasket . I'm still using a gallon of coolant for every 30 miles driven.

I added a bottle to my radiator on a 2001 Olds Intrigue. Both heads had slow coolant leaks at the head gasgets, but not into the cylinders. The leak was about 1 gallon every 3K miles and increasing. BarsLeaks stopped both leaks after 15 minutes. One bad side effect was it clogged my heater core. Engine temperature is normal. Still no problems after 120 miles. I'm waiting a couple weeks to flush the fluid and back flush the heater core. Hopefully I won't have to change out the heater core. Still that is much cheaper and less time than a complete head gasget overall. Bottom line I'd buy it again.

F150 2000 170000 MILES HAD HEAD GASKET LEAK.HAD FLUID BLOWING OUT OF OVER FLOW.ADDED PRODUCT AT STORE.DROVE FIVE MILES HOME AND IT WAS FIXED. THIS STUFF IS EXPENSIVE BUT CHEAP COMPARED TO GASKET REPLACEMENT.

My 3.3 V6 had 130,000 miles on it and a dripping antifreeze leak developed by the timing cover. It dripped a small puddle in the driveway when parked. I added only half of the container for starters because I didn't have room for the rest at the time. I ran the motor for 20 minutes with the heater on and the leak stopped. That was a month ago and I still have half a container in case it started to leak again. I'm very pleased with this product.

Based on the reviews I gave it a shot. It appeared that it may work. When I put it in the radiator and followed the directions on the bottle, the steam almost stopped coming out of the tailpipe. I let the car sit a full two days before I took it on the road. Within five miles it was blowing water out the tailpipe and the temperature started rapidly going up.
Waste of my time and effort. The product does not work as they try to claim. I am now convinced when you have a head gasket problem there is only one real cure, REPLACE THE GASKET and forget there miracle cures.

I was 300 miles away from home with a 1987 Peugeot V6. Car started to over heat and could not be driven more than ½ hour. There were bubbles of exhaust in the radiator and over flow bottle, indicating blown head gasket. I removed the thermostat and then installed the product, following directions.The bubbles stopped and the high pressure in the radiator was gone ! The next day, I drove home at highway speed, watching the temperature gauge. It was perfect. Bars Leaks Head Gasket Fix actually sealed the leak ! Amazing stuff ! I am very, very happy with this product.

Pour HEAD GASKET FIX directly into radiator. If using in a small cooling system under 1.5 gallon capacity, such as 4 cylinders with no air conditioning, install ½ bottle. Tip: If direct access to radiator is not available and if overflow tank is pressurized, you can install in tank. 3. Fill radiator and overflow tank to proper level and reinstall radiator cap. Hello, I tried this today on my 91 camry 4 cyl 118k. My mechanic told me to use some no smoke at each oild change but, it doesn't seem to last. I get white smoke on start up that disappears after a few minutes. I followed the directions on the bottle and used half. Now my heat runs cool instead of sweltering like usual.
