Comments about Powermaster GM CS144 Alternator, 200-Amp:

This product works well and has a 250 amp max power output @ 2000 rpm's.I was pulling 185 draw amps at time for short bursts.I had 3 blue top altima batteries hooked to ho hold the power i needed.Overall if you need alot of power and dont want the larger Leece nevels this is by far the best bang for the buck.

I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis of what amp alternator you have before installing any alternator which would not be the required one for your vehicle.

  • Q:

In the description it says the it requires conversion harness PN[160]. Does that come with the alternator or is that purchased separate? If it is purchased separate then where can I find one?

      A:

Because it is a performance alternator that puts out 200 Amps.

If you look at the construction you will see why.The bearings are built better and the overall output is so much higher. The parts are 100% new and the outputs are under rated so ya get a whole lot
more than they say ya get.I bought a 200 amp alernator and it topped out at 250 at 2000 rpm's.
