Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:
I was planning on going on a trip to Virginia, and had some time to check out the front shocks on my 1992 Chevy S10 Blazer. The shocks that had been on there looked like they had been on there for the past 20 years, and had ceased to function properly. Every bump was highly noticeable and there was a ton of nose-diving when breaking.
I installed these shocks in an afternoon, getting the old bolts free was the hardest part. These installed easily, and unlike the old shocks, actually took a little compressing to get into place, which is a great improvement.
The ride condition of the vehicle improved greatly and with the new shocks, the breaks on the vehicle can function properly. The vehicle can handle going around curves on the highway without any leaning, and it handles bumps better.
As far as anything that isn't good about these, I've not really noticed any problems. I went from shocks that probably had 118,000 miles on them to these. These shocks are doing exactly what I want them to.
