the sending unit shows incorrect fuel level.
from what i get from the manufactor is that the sending unit float arm should have been ship loose not attacted to the pump as it was which leave me to think that this product was sold returned to store and repackaged as new

I suspected my existing pump was failing because when I turned the key, sometimes I could not hear the pump priming. I bought this pump assembly and a fuel filter, and paid a local mechanic to install it. I was going to install it myself but didn't have time. After installation, the priming problem is gone, and as a bonus, my fuel gauge started working again. Subsequently, I changed the plugs and plug wires, and now my 1991 Ranger is running great. I completely rely on the quality parts I get from Advance.

All the parts wee there fit easily and worked fine after install.
I bough the unit online and did a store pick-up. The pick up sheet did not have the sale price on it
and the store said it could not change the price but they were confident I paid the sale price on my credit card.
