Great, I needed a new fuel pump, because my car shut down on me in the middle of the road!. Bought it and its been great since its been replaced. I own a 2003 Chevy Cavalier, and the fuel pump is this cars downfall.

Unit had the best review for the price point, I don't like purchasing an aftermarket big ticket item like this due to the difficulty of re-replacing it and because certain aftermarket items tend to be inferior to OEM, but OEM's lately have been outsourcing to the same lower quailty so we'll see.

After trying 2 cheaper new fuel pumps both which were bad. I bought this online got a discount and picked up at local store. They had it waiting for me. Also this was a sunday.Installed works great using all factory oem connectors.

you can hear the pump from time to time but it appears to be getting more quiet the longer we have it.. was a little noisey when first installed.. i would say over all great purchase would do it again.

This pump replaced the original OEM pump in a 2001 Cavalier, approx 110,000 miles. I wasn't tooo sure about Airtex but after some research I found a lot of issues with AC/Delco pumps and only a few with the lower-cost Airtex replacements so I decided to go with the Airtex. Perfect fit, everything connected up exactly like OEM. Pump works fine, of course too soon to tell in regards to lifespan. Remember that running your tank too low and/or running regularly with low fuel light on will decrease the life of the pump as it will run hotter without fuel covering it for cooling.

BUY THIS PUMP FIRST SAVE YOUR SELF TIME AND MONEY. WHEN PURCHASED ON LINE FROM ANOTHER VENDOR SAVED MONEY BUT THE OTHER PUMP FAILED THIS ONE WORKS GREAT.

I replaced the stock failed pump at 40,000 miles (it's an 03 model out of warranty that had belonged to a little old lady who didn't drive much). This pump is noisier than the stock pump was, but in the past, I have noticed that Airtex pumps start out noisy and become quiet after being used for a while, and after 500 miles, this one has either gotten quieter or I have just gotten used to it. Fit was perfect, and installation would have been easy if my car didn't require dropping the tank to get to the pump. Don't hesitate to buy this pump instead of the more expensive OEM ones, and of course, always bring a towel.

WHY WHY WHY did Chevy decide to put the fuel pump INSIDE of the gas tank I'll never know. It was such a hassle to get the tank down but I'm happy that the install of the fuel pump was super easy. It was self-explanatory to install. Hopefully I never have to do this again but if I do, I'll definitely buy this again.
