first part failed
I was very leary to purchase this Airtex pump not good reviews But I was swayed by low price. Put first one in gauge did not register correctly and pump quit afer just 5 mins...Read complete review
I was very leary to purchase this Airtex pump not good reviews But I was swayed by low price. Put first one in gauge did not register correctly and pump quit afer just 5 mins at idle. had to drive other car to next closest store the next day to "exchange". I replaced fuel filter assy. and put Seafoam in tank after replacement. Cleaned out tank as well hardest part was getting pump out of tank the "ring" is big! wish I had some sort of pipe strap wrench to use I had giant channel locks that worked!!! also clean the ring and opening on tank before reinstall and follow all directions and instructions.

Fit and performed as claimed by manufacturer. Replaced fuel filter to protect and extend life of this pump. The pump being replaced had given 264,000 miles, probably due to regular filter maintenance.

first pump registered until it got to 3/8 tank then read empty and 2nd unit lasted 1 month then would run out of fuel at 1/4 tank and now runs out just below 1/2 tank !!!

Fuel Pump was a great fit and great packaging everything for a complete installation. Problem was first one didn't work. The backflow valve malfunctioned. So I had to go through the whole process again. Lost 4 hours of my time pulling the gas tank etc. very frustrating!! Second pump works great. That is why I gave this 4 Stars.
