I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual for your vehicle. This will have many of the specifications and locations of parts needed for a variety of repairs.

Q:
WOULD A CLOGGED FUEL FILTER CAUSE A CAR TO DECELERATE ON ITS ON WHILE DRIVING?
The filter is located under the car on the passenger side about half way between the A and B pillars. Look under the passenger door abouit half way. The filter is protected by a bolt on cover.
Answer
the fuel filter is along side the frame just under the passenger door.
You need to loosen two bolts, and rotate the filter towards you. Then you will be able to loosen the fuel lines. Make sure your fuel pressure is disengaged! or fuel will spray all over you...the steps to that I forget but has to do with a computer of sorts in the trunks left side under the carpet, gotta unplug a cable and start the car, basically runs the gas out.
