The product came in a Moog box, not a "National" box. I was pleased about that since Moog is a good name in suspension parts. Getting the old bearings off was a pain. On a 2003 Tahoe with 4WD we could not use a hub puller to remove the hubs. The tools needed were a 3lb maul, a durable chisel and lots of WD40. You basically have to bang the heck out of the thing to get it off. This is what takes the longest. It took two of us over an hour of intense and unrelenting banging on it. PERSISTENCE IS KEY. We destroyed the dust plate (a flimsy metal plate). I suggest that you purchase replacements for these as well if you really want to do the job right.
Once the hub assembly is off, you need to take a sander to the inner hub and clean it really well. Doing this manually is possible, but would take hours. it's worth renting or borrowing a die sander. Once things were cleaned up we greased the hub reciever (the part we just cleaned with the die sander). Subsequently, the new hub/bearing assembly installed easily. We reassembled the rest, test drove and all is well.
Tips:
#1) if you don't already have one, it's good to use the large metric impact socket loaner set to remove the center hub bolt. (36 mm metric). The Chevy Repair manual suggests that this hub bolt and washer need to be replaced once it's removed. If you have an impact wrench to remove, great, if not rent/borrow one or make sure you have a large and sturdy breaker bar to take the center nut loose. We had an air impact.
#2 There are two bolts that hold the brake hose on. One on the brake caliper and one on the steering knuckle. Don't try to remove the brake hose retainer bolt from the steering knucle (10mm metric). It's not necessary and you'll just twist the head off anyway... creating a new problem to solve.
#3 Torque everything to spec. Especially the center hub bolt and the wheel lug nuts. (else you'll end up needing new brakes and rotors in a few 1000 miles)
#4 Safety glasses are a must for the chisel & hammer portion of this job.

I ordered a MOOG and received a National from [*]. If it had been from [*] I would have cancelled the order. I've been burned by cheep parts from [*] in the past. Other web sites were honest enough to tell you that you may get a National rather than a Moog. Advance did not do this and I felt as if it were bate and switch! The store did their best to make me happy, but did not follow through with a phone call to let me know that they received a Moog hub. Advance also wanted $40.00 for a spindle nut for this hub, a [$] item, made in the USA, else where!

It is a hub just like factory. Not priced like factory. I had the opposite side replaced by a shop and had to pay almost 500 did the job my self and saved hundreds. Use pb blaster to break rust!!! Be ready to fight the old hub out. Best if you are able to use a bottle jack to push on something like an old rotor installed backwards to push the old hub out versus beating it out, work smarter not harder.

This part was the remedy to my issue with the vehicle not accelerating from a stop. Apparently when the bearing failed, the wheel sensor recognized a difference in wheel speed between that wheel and the others and sent a signal to the vehicles brain to apply brakes while also sending a signal to the throttle controller that prevented it from accelerating. Once the bad wheel bearing was replaced with this unit, the issue was favorably resolved.
The only difficult part of the job was removing the old part, whose fasteners were held tight with locktite and rust. Reassembly was a breeze, and the part functions perfectly so far.

once I got the old one out the new one went right in!! Definitely make sure to have a 15 mm 6 pt. socket not 12 pt.!!! stripped out bolt on the back!! also anti seize the new one just in case!! other than that, so far so good!!
