Decent and cheap manual that will get what you need done. These are never quite as good as the OE mechanic's manuals...but are a 1/10th the price.

I used this guide to change the brakes on our truck. Luckily, I knew the basics already because if I didn't I would have been lost. Manual isn't year-specific. It covers basically all Rangers and if you're not careful, you'll be following the wrong instructions. Also, just a note, all pics are from the driver's side, so if you're doing the passenger, keep that in mind (I know that's the standard, but a newbie wouldn't). Also, many steps are left out, assuming that the person using the manual knows what they are doing. Bottom line, if you don't know the basics, you might want to order a Chilton's. Pictures are pretty good though.
