They spend their money on marketing to people that don't know better instead of making a good filter.
Just search Fram Oil filter review and you will see they are overpriced and low quality.
Get a Purolator, Bosch, or even the driveworks here at Advance. They are all much better filters.

I have about 5 different types and sizes of filter wrenches and none of them worked in the confined space of the Scion. I had to remove splash panels to gain access. Perhaps sales person should advise.

Some people claim that fram is no good but in over 20 years of wrenching for a living I have never seen one single problem on an everyday driver. As for other brands.... I can't say the same thing.

Textured surface coating a great idea, especially when working with oily hands. No gasket failures, as I have experienced with other filters.
Overpriced in Canada, so I buy them on trips to the U.S.
