Horrible, horrible, horrible. poor quality and construction. filter is cheap and flimsy compared to others on market. has far fewer pleats in the filter (means more junk in your engine). I used these and regret it once i found out how poor these were. puraloator is much better, k&n is great along with bosc and mopar. only "good" thing about this is the grip, thats it!
Don't waste your money and sacrifice you engine

Fram Jeep oil filter. Ordered the correct part and read on the Jeep Cherokee website that a PH16 filter can be replaced by a higher volume PH8A filter for the 4.0L inline six engine. The Advance store gratefully allowed an even exchange between the two parts and now I have increased the oil capacity in the truck by .5 quarts which will allow for better lubrication. The PH8A filter was also easier to install, all made possible by the local Advance store accepting the exchange with NO hassle.

I have used Fram filters since the early 90's and I love them. Never had an issue and I have run two vehicles from new to around 200K miles using nothing but Fram filters and have used them on other vehicles I have owned as well. I love the non skid surface that Fram put on the filters. It helps ease the install and removal process especially when in tight places.

I am a self studied and experienced home garage mechanic that performs all routine mainteance, and
most repair work on my vehicles. I service my SUV
and corvettes as needed. My skills include building complete motors from a bare block for
high performance street applications and organized racing. Fram filters of all types have
always been dependable and of high performance.
In our tight economy, in order to save a "buck",
ordering supplies from an online supplier such as Advance Auto Parts that has excellent prices is highly recommended by me.

I've been using Fram Extra-Guard filters for years, never had a problem and with routine oil changes I always get 200K plus miles on my vehicles before I need to replace them. They do a good job of keeping particles out of the circulating oil. The rough texture of the grip area is a big plus for these filters, it makes them easier to install and especially to remove when time for replacement.
