This Extended Performance Oil Filter by Mobil 1 is in my personal opinion probably the best oil filter you can get. That being said, it catches pretty much everything and you can go three or easily two oil changes before you have to purchase a new filter so it ends up being less money in the long run then buying two or three cheapey filters and also protects your engine alot better. Use this filter with whatever is the best oil for your car ( usually from the dealer but sometimes you can find a alternative as good or better) and you will get the best results IMPO

Good for use with fully synthetic motor oil. I choose to use it with Mobil 1 Extended Performance, and Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck for 15,000 mile oil change intervals.I was purchasing AMSOIL fully synthetic and AMSOIL oil filters, but Mobil 1 is less expensive at the moment. I usually purchase the Mobil 1 filters from [@] or Advance Auto, and the oil from [@].

This filter has been proven, through used oil testing, to keep oil cleaner than your typical off-the-shelf oil filter. It works wonderfully.
Besides that, the can is built like a tank, and the gasket and anti-drainback-valve are high quality. This filter won't be stuck, and it won't deform, when you try to remove it.
This filter can be used for up to 15,000 miles, and per the manufacturer, can be left on through multiple oil changes up to that mileage. This makes the cost a non-issue.
Very highly recommended!

I try to change my oil once a year by using Mobil 1 extended 15,000miles or 1 year motor oil with Mobil 1 extended oil filter. The motor oil work great, but the filter doesn't last the whole year, about 3 months earlier the filter gets dirty. I think the filter is too small, so I change my oil every 6 months and no issues.

Mobil 1 filters are manufactured by The Champion (not Champion Spark Plug Co.) Oil Filter Company which make lots of other brands of filters on the market (do your research). Their Mobil 1 filters consist of the highest quality materials and manufacturing methods to ensure you get a great working product every time. As an engine builder, I see a lot of other filters fail internally. I have higher confidence in this product than any other made. Today's engines are so high tech and so expensive to repair, why would you want to run a cheap filter?
