I have used the Pretone brand anti-freeze for many years and have never been disappointed with the results. I monitor my grandchildren's vehicles and most of the time their's will need a little to top off the cooling system. That makes it very convenient for me.

First off....NEVER BUY 50/50 antifreeze. Not that it's bad, you just get more antifreeze for the buck for 100% full strength antifreeze. I have no preference when it comes to antifreeze, so I would recommend this or any of the ones sold at the Advance Auto. I normally get the house brand, but because this was on sale....I ended up with it. I like Prestone, but know that many companies have stuff private labeled....auto parts, food, gas, just about everything you can think of. So this stuff is as good as the house and vice versa.

Yes, the Jeep's cooling system requires HOAT. HOAT is Hybrid Organic Acid Technology. The recommended mixture is 50/50 ethylene-glycol and low mineral content water. Do not use pure antifreeze. Glycol base coolant with corrosion inhibitors called HOAT. As per Prestone if the product (MN3300) is still in the original sealed container then it has a shelf life of many years. However 20 years is too old for an antifreeze even with a sealed container.
