A must buy when replacing manifolds on an F-150. The old one will be rusted to the manifold.

    • Q:

what does the egr tube do, and what will happen if it leaks at the exhaust manifold?

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

EGR valve: route a small amount of exhaust back into the combustion chamber. When the temperature in the combustion chamber is too high, nitrogen oxides are produced-combine with elements in the atmosphere- form smog. Introducing a small amount of exhaust into the system reduces the temperature in the combustion chamber, reducing the amount of nitrogen oxides produced.Malfunctioning EGR can cause irregularities in engine performance such as rough idling or valve knock.
