Comments about ACDelco Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Valve Solenoid Kit:
Ordered as best price for high priced item, 3 trips to store to pick up and when doing install discovered that parts were mismatched as hose fittings did not match up. Had to pick up from another store and returned this for refund. CSR checked another box on shelf and those would have matched - how disappointing that I got the BAD part. Should have checked fittings before starting installation!

Comments about ACDelco Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Valve Solenoid Kit:
The kit contains a filter and valve. GM used permanently connected hard plastic tube to connect to each so the tubing had to be broken to disconnect the old parts. I was able to reconnect the new parts using the same tubing and shrink tubing and it fixed the problem. Too much for what your receive. Should at least come with hoses to reconnect. GM probably has $15 dollars in cost and sells for [$]. Highway Robbery!!

Comments about ACDelco Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Valve Solenoid Kit:
This included a solenoid valve and a breather cap. It does not include the hard plastic line that runs between the valve and cannister or the rubber line from the valve to the breather cap. I had to rig some heater hose and clamps to get it to fit as the hard plastic line is not detachable from the old valve. For the price of [$] it should at least include the plastic and rubber hoses.

Comments about ACDelco Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Valve Solenoid Kit:
Only included the solenoid and breather cap, no tubing or connectors. The connection going to the cannister is hard plastic and cannot be reused, I had to use rubber tubing and clamps to make it work. Likewise the tubing for the breather was difficult to remove from the old piece and atach to the new. At the price of [$] the tubing and new connectors should be included, it would still be overpriced but at least it would fit properly.

I have a 2006 silverado and get code po455 and whatever the one is for small leak too have replaced fuel cap that wasnt it could this part be the problem?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Common causes of this code p0455 are a loose or missing gas cap or a gas cap that has a bad seal. If the gas cap is good and has not been left loose, the other cause could be a bad evap vent solenoid valve. If the valve sticks open, the same code will set. However, without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. We would suggest that you take your vehicle to a certified mechanic for further diagnosis.Q:
