On the 2001 Z-71, the Evaporation Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve is located in the intake manifold. Remove the Vortec engine cover and the solenoid will be on the passenger side near the top front of the manifold next to the throttle body.Answered on 4/29/2012 by John the Car-Doc from AAP
