I have used Lucas Oil Stop Leak 3 times on my '03 Ford Taurus, just passed 200,000 miles. The first time I simply added to my oil as the level was dropping about 3/4 of a quart every 2 weeks. After adding it, the oil level didn't drop. The other 2 times I added during an oil change. I've gone almost 3 months since that oil change and its only about 3/4 of a quart below full. It may not "stop" oil loss, but its close enough, as I do not have to add oil between oil changes. I also extends the oil life.

My car started leaking oil a long time ago, but I ignored the problem. It then started to misfire at the end of last year.I pulled my hair out trying to fix the misfire, replacing the usual like plugs, wires, rotor... with no success. I then thought about diagnosing the more expensive stuff like O2 sensor, TPS... but decided to use the Lucas oil first to fix the leak. Three days later, to my surprise, the misfires disappeared!At 300,000 miles, I don't care about "proper fix". If the [$] oil can prolong my engine's life, it's money well spent.

I have a 2001 Chevy Blazer that has a rear main seal leak that is "inherent" to this vehicle. My mechanic told me to use Lucas products years ago and I have been using this as an oil addative, with every 3000 mile/3 month oil change, for the last 6+ years. It's less than having to pay for the rear main seal to be fixed. It keeps my engine running smooth and has kept the leak to a minimum. I also use the Lucas gas additive to keep the injectors clean. I love and trust Lucas products!

I use this everytime I do an oil change! My 2001 Blazer has 137,200 miles on it. I found that it had a rear main seal leak about 6 years ago. It's expensive and a pain to change out the seal so my mechanic suggested this product. Using Lucas engine oil stop leak with every oil change has kept the leak to a minimum and keeps my engine running great!

Still too early to determine if it is effective, but judging by "syrup" consistency it should help slow the leaks if not stop.

I wanted to try using this for my Toyota Corolla that has a small leak. I will eventually get an estimate and fix the problem but I wanted to try to use this in the meantime. I just had my oil topped off, is it too late to just pour it in myself now? Do I have to wait until I get an oil change to put it in?
