I originally purchased this as an alternative to brake cleaner for degreasing my engine, cleaning off some parts under the hood, etc. I found the brake cleaner effective but this was more mild and recommended by a friend for the safety of my engine's rubber parts and electric insulation. I would use gloves when using this product, it dries out the hands.

does the job, used on a warm/hot engine at the quarter car wash. Would be nice if the can sprayed in any direction or a long bendable straw. Between the high pressure and the degreaser the engine looks a lot better and not as messy to work on.

Very effective on a car with 252k miles, oil leaks and an engine that's never been cleaned. Just follow the instructions and it works really well!

I followed the instuctions, spray it on wait 15 minues, wash it off. The engine was cool and the temperature was in the 70s.
The 15 Minutes was too long. I saw the cleaner soften the grim pretty quick, but waiting the full 15 minutes casued it to dry back on.
I suggest spraying it on and use your own judgment when to wash it back off.

Does a good job. For heavy grease/grime, scrub as per the directions on the can, to get greasy, oily dirt to come off good. Great to clean an engine after replacing the valve cover gasket to remove old oil and dirt from engine.
