I added zMax to my 2008 BMW 128i to see if it would quiet a noisy lifter and it did! This is a low mileage used car and with the BMW long intervals for oil changes, no telling how few oil changes this car has had. zMax seems to have done the trick and the slight tapping noise is now gone. The engine now purrs like it should. Gas mileage also improved significantly, but not sure if that is just temporary due to better driving habits. I'm adding xMax to my other cars to see if I get the same positive benefits. Not sure I'll continue at the recommended intervals due to the price, but do plan to continue to use periodically.

Comments about Z-Max Engine and Fuel Micro-Lubricant:
I've been using this product about every 6 months for the past few years (as recommended by the directions). Since I get my oil changed about every 6 months (full synthetic oil and filter), I usually add this product to my car at the same time I change the oil or within a few days after changing the oil. It's just more convienent to schedule both together.
While it helps regardless of mileage or age of vehicle, the sooner you start using it on a consistant basis, the better results you'll get from it. It's designed to be used as a preventitive measure, not to fix what's already been damaged or worn.

Comments about Z-Max Engine and Fuel Micro-Lubricant:
I saw ZMaxx on Power Block TV & was quite interested in it. They had some pretty good claims, so I figured after some research it was safe. Within a few hours of use, I saw increased mileage gains, smoother idles & increased performance. I know this may seem a little far fetched, but I saw a 30% increase in gas mileage in just one tank of gas. I would feel safe using this in not only my custom cars, but in my daily driver Hybrid which is still under Lexus's warranty. I was a Lucas product user for many years and even though I feel their products are great, I feel the ZMaxx is head & shoulders above them.

I have used this product for many years in several different types of vehicles with no issues. I also plan to incorporate using the product in my other gas engines, to include a zero turn mower, UTV, brush mower, firewood splitter and other hard working yard engines. I subscribe to the belief that the viscosity improves and wear is reduced with use of this product. I have had no problems with engines in my Yukon Denali, two BMW M3s, Pantera GTS, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Ford F-250 diesel. I give partial credit to Z-Max.

Comments about Z-Max Engine and Fuel Micro-Lubricant:
Let me just say this; I do NOT believe in additives! That said this stuff works. The first time I used ZMAX it was in a 2000 Dodge Intrepid. The car would not stay running. I put ZMAX in with the oil drove on the hi way @ 20 miles. I was use to driving the car left foot brake style just to keep it running. After the 20 mile trip I no longer had to drive that way. It ran great. I have had more success with ZMAX but no more room here.

I use this about every 50,000 miles on my 1994 Astro Van. I purchased used at 100k ... it now has 276k. A year ago my wife was using it and failed to see it overheat, so bad it burned the sensor, so she could not see after that. It clunked to a stop. Blew a hole in the radiator, replaced upper hose, water pump, sensor, changed the oil (fram filter was burn't white), changed spark plugs (all hand loose). The only thing I know is that it was still lubricated even under this tremendous heat. The $90+ I have spent on this product so far saved me a motor, there is no doubt. Getting ready to buy another treament before the 300K mark. Thanks Z-Max ...

To the guy with the Mini cooper. I can pretty much guarantee that when you put zmax in the crankcase, it overfilled it. It is not zmax's fault in product, it is your fault that you didnt pay attention to your oil level in the crankcase. Also, its very possible that your oil filter was complete garbage, since it is a known fact that poor quality oil filters will burst under pressure due to thin metal casings and poor oil inlets. Furthermore, I believe that if you think a microlubricant can eat through a rubber seal, you should not be anywhere near a vehicle. By the way, zmax is an awesome product, and i would recommend it to anyone who knows what they're doing.

Comments about Z-Max Engine and Fuel Micro-Lubricant:
Approximately 30 miles after adding ZMax engine lubricant to the crankcase of my 2007 MINI Cooper S engine oil blew out of the oil filter seal under great pressure coating the engine bay , underside, wheels, brakes, and boot of the car. The oil had been changed three days prior and there had been no leakage at all from any areas. I assume the ZMax micro lube penetrated through the seals under pressure resulting in the catastrophe. Had to have a flat bed take my car to dealer 60 miles away to sort it out. [$] later I'm back on the road and can say without hesitation that I will NEVER use this product again.

I've been using this stuff for a long time and if you read carefully there is a warranty on certain components on your vehicle that are affected if you use it correctly.

The Z-Max Engine and Fuel Micro-Lubricant (Part No. 51-011) does not replace your regular oil. Using zMAX will not overfill your normal oil level, because it soaks into metal. Simply pour zMAX into your fuel system (12oz.), your engine (12oz.), and transmission (4oz.) or have zMAX installed by your mechanic at your next oil change. The bottles are clearly marked. I just recently developed a slight lifter noise. I changed the oil using 5/30 Royal Purple. This helped but still a slight tick. My car is a 1999 Corvette with the LS1, it only has 45,000 miles. Do you think your oil additives might help with the problem? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 answer

Sorry, without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. We would suggest that you take your vehicle to a certified mechanic for further diagnosis.Q:
I have heard that the Z-Max engine treatment and the fuel traetment are exactly the same and can be used interchangeably (i.e., the fuel treatment can be used in the oil and the engine treatment can be used in the fuel system). Is that correct?1 answer

CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes, this should work fine.Q:
If it is "Mico Lubrication", why does this have to be added every 6 months? Doesn't the lubrication just permanently stay embeded in the surface of the metal? Or does the viscosity break down, causing its affects to wear off?2 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
All lubricants loose their viscosity after some time duration. It is recommended to use on every 6 months or 6000 miles which ever comes earlier in order to improve or restore gas mileage and reduce emissions.A:
Z-max should be added every 6 months or 6,000 miles, because of thermal breakdown. Over time, it will lose its lubrication quality just like engine oil. Also, adding it at those intervals will help get the most out of your engine in terms of horsepower, gas mileage, and engine longevity.Q:
can the regular zmax be used in a harley davidson motorcycle? If so what is the mix for the oil and gas?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
You should be fine using this in your motorcycle
