Gotta ck your vin for proper fit!!! As you know you cant get just the fuel pump for your 97 Astro. After one simple modification to the pick up (black on bottom )canister in-let valve(remove) pump works great!!! and dont forget to get two new screens for your unit!! IT IS A MUST!!!

Got this home and ready to install untill I opened the box and there in big letters "warranty void unless a new mesch filter screen is installed." Part description did not mention this. Why would a new filter not be included if it is required for the install. I had to run back to town and buy a new 10$ filter. It even looked like there was one in the picture, but it was a black hose. Very disappointed.

Purchased this for a 1995 Chevrolet Astro Van that was having fuel issues. Purchased the Bosch filter with this unit too. Only gave it four stars because this pump has not been tested over a long period of time. The vehicle runs great! My friend just has not gotten it back on the road.
It does have a good warranty provided by Advance Auto Parts. They get a 5-Star rating for sure!

We had a hard time figuring out the problem with our van. We had put in a new battery, fuel pump and something else. All these helped some but did not take care of the problem completely. We were told it was a low fuel pressure. When we went to start it, it was like the battery was too low. Sometimes even a jumpstart and ether would not get going. Finally it died along the road. We bought a new fuel pump. The problem cleared up completely. Thanks for your vast inventory to have a part when we needed it.

Great when you just need the fuel pump alone and not complete pump and sending unit assembly. This is second Airtex fuel pump installed in my 97 Suburban. First one lasted 6 years.
