If you are getting a p401 code- egr insufficient flow- then this is probably the culprit. The factory sensor is made of aluminum and corodes badly. I have changed one on my 98 taurus and my 98 e350 van. Both were an easy fix and problem solved.

Do not use on V8 SHO
The SHO V8 gives off too much heat where sensor mounts. The plastic sensor melted and vode returned, I have to get aluminium sensor from Ford for my application.

Good replacement for OEM part. The plastic tubes cracked off of the original part. A metal housing and tubes would last longer

Comments about BWD EGR Pressure Feedback Sensor:
Needed this sensor to get "Check Engine" light off so truck would pass inspection. Ordered part online - was in stock at local store. Picked part up next day, installed it easily and quickly. Disconnected and reconnected battery terminals - "Check Engine" light stayed off. Took truck for inspection, passed with no problem. Sensor has worked fine since installation.

Comments about BWD EGR Pressure Feedback Sensor:
i thought it was an awesome process.especially since I am a 54 year old women who changed this part. I did not know the car would have to go thru a "cycle" before the engine light would go off..I was so excited when that happened, The only sort of con I have is if it weren't for the awesome gentleman that waited on me I would not have know the difference. He opened the package and inspected the part he new right away it was used and I truely appreciate that.I really respect that .I do realize the parts are reburbished but that was not what i was payning for,thank-you again.

Comments about BWD EGR Pressure Feedback Sensor:
Ford F150 CEL was on, pulled code po401 EGR.
I checked on line and discovered that the OEM aluminum EGR pressure feedback sensors were a common cause for the DTC code.
Replaced it with this one, reset the codes. It has been fine now, for more than 500 mi.
BDW is a brand I know of and trust.

Why would I need and 1nch and a half wrench to unbolt the sensor? I was asking about the sensor, not EGR set up.1 answer

Sorry for any confusion caused. The EGR sensor (BWD EGR Position Sensor - Part No. EGR155) has to be pulled with hands. If it is stuck on the tubes pretty tightly you need both hands to pull the sensor out of that rubber hose. Hold steady the 2 metal pipes (you don't want to break those pipes) and one twisting or pulling out the sensor. If the raw unburned gas is passing through the exhaust system including your catalytic converter and coming out of the tail pipe. It makes the EGR Pressure Feedback Sensor to melt.
