Comments about BWD EGR Control Solenoid:

This control solenoid for the EGR valve did not work for my auto. It made the EGR valve get hot and start smoking. The engine idled rough because the solenoid was opening the EGR valve while idling. I had to reuse my old solenoid. I don't think that was my problem any way.

Comments about BWD EGR Control Solenoid:

My EGR Valve was getting vacuum constantly, Which means the vacuum solenoid is no good. So I bought this from my local Advance Auto & put it in. Same problem. So I brought it to my dealer shop and hooked it up to the computer & it had the same problem. The part was faulty. Be Warned. Go with factory motorcraft for this part.

It could be a number of things causing this. Unfortunately we are unable to diagnose what is wrong with your vehicle without being able to be there with your vehicle. We highly recommend taking your vehicle to a reputable shop to have them take a look at it to determine the cause.
