I noticed the difference right away when I started to use this product. I drive a Volkswagen Jetta and it really has made my car sound better and run a lot more efficiently. I recommend it highly. My car is now at 120,000 and it still sounds brand new.

You often cannot get 5w 40 in stores anywhere and typically has to be ordered from Audi/VW or ECS. It's usually pricey too, like $6-10 per quart. This was a great value. I could change my oil every month for the cost of doing it every 3 months through Audi.

Have used this oil for most of the 163,000 miles on my 2002 Jetta TDI. I had to change the oil pan at one point and was impressed by how clean everything looked. This was/is the manufacturer
recommended oil for the ALH 2002 Jetta TDI engine and it has performed well.

You can't beat the price for this required oil in a Volkswagen or Audi!! Use the web site to check the inventory so you will not be disappointed when you get to the store and they don't have enough quarts.

My neighbor is a Robotics Engineer at Lincoln Electric and told me this is the only oil that they use. I've never had any problems with it, and all of my cars get 200,000+ miles because of it.

What can I say, I love this motor oil. I use it at every oil change on my VW. This oil is specific to european vehicles with performance in mind. The difference between this oil and filling up with a brand that is also synthetic but not formulated for euro vehicles, you will definitely feel the difference. This oil does alot for your engine as far as lubrication and helps resist wear on vital engine parts that would be costly to replace. I have always used Castrol oil in all my vehicles and have not had any problems with this brand.

It is advisable to use the recommended viscosity range in motor cycles, e.g. 10w40, 20w50, etc. for the climate in your area. In general, to protect your motor use the heaviest oil you can that still meets the manufacturer's guidelines. For example, 20w50 is better in warm weather than 10w40 and 10w40 is better in warm weather than 5w40, because it gives you a thicker oil cushion between bearing surfaces at operating temperature. For racing, a thinner oil will offer less resistance and thus more power, but will offer less protection.Answered on 2/2/2012 by Vincent from AAP
