Another great deal form Advanced Auto. Have used this same oil in all my vehicles and great luck with it. Better fuel consumption, wouldn't use anything else. Have no negative comments about this product. The deal from Advanced Auto parts was without a doubt a deal truly to good to pass up.

Most synthetic oils are similar in their own ways with different additives, as long as anyone keep their maintenance up to date and do it on a consistent manner, it does matter if they use conventional or synthetic. It is a myth that people think that you can't go back to regular motor oil once you use synthetic, I attended a seminar once where part of the session describes how people came up with that idea. Now, do you think once you go synthetic you can't go back to regular, then why would they have synthetic BLEND? Think about that!!!!.......

I was looking to change the oil in my 2012 VW Diesel. When I inquired about this I was told I would have to take the car to the dealer for there special blend of oil. This is the oil that the dealer uses.

No. This meets other Audi specs, but not the VW 507.
For more information, please refer to this service bulletin by Audi USA. It will tell you which particular oils comply with that. I do belive there is a like weight that is in a simular container, but sold outside of the US. There are other oils from that manufacturer that meet or exceed that standard.

Yes, you can switch to synthetic oil on your Infiniti M30. After switching to synthetic, you should use a slightly higher weight. For example if 5W 30 in mineral, switch to 10W 30 in synthetic. But be sure to stay with it once you switch to synthetic. A standard oil change interval for a gas engine is about 3000 miles. If you are running synthetic 5000 miles is a good rule of thumb. Diesels typically go about15,000 milesbetween oil services. Dirty oil takes a heavy toll on your engine, especially when it was dirt at3000 miles and you have driven it two and a half times that far. It is much less expensive to change your oil every three thousand miles than to continually drive on dirty oil and risk spinning a rod bearing. Changing your oil more often keeps your engine cleaner too by preventing carbon buildup in the crankcase.
