I have been running this fluid in my 1987 Mazda RX7 for track days and driving schools for the last few years. It is much cheaper than some of the other high performance options and has a high dry boiling point. I have never experienced fluid boil when used in conjunction with a race brake pad.
Many other high performance fluids come in a metal container which does help with shelf life. This Valvoline fluid comes in a plastic container. Once I crack the top on this fluid, I use only the first pour in my race car and will use subsequent pours in my street cars where the fluid performance is not as cruicial and temperatures are not as extreme.

Comments about Valvoline DOT 3 and 4 Synthetic Brake Fluid (32 oz.):
It's brake fluid. As long as your vehicle is specified to used either DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid, it'll be fine.
I normally use ATE super blue and TYP 200 fluid, but I didn't want to open up a new can for bleeding the clutch hydraulics.
As with all brake fluid, do not let it drip onto painted surfaces. Also, avoid skin contact.

I trust Valvoline products. It is a bonus that it works in both DOT 3 & 4. Buy the large bottle, it's a better bargain.

I think this was the best name brand that I could fine @ advance auto parts, but I really don't see much difference on fluids that you can get from parts shop other than high performance products. AND it iis synthetic!

Q:
What color is this fluid?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The color of this fluid should be Pale, Yellow Liquid.Q:
Can I use this product in my 2004 GMC Savana? And how do I drain the old fluid out, I can't find any info on that? Thanks!1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
This should work fine with your GMC. To drain the fluid out, you can open up one of the bleeder valves and pump the brakes until it stops shooting fluid out. Then close that one up and open another and do the same thing. Continue this process until you have drained all bleeder valves.Q:

CAN THIS MIX WITH NON SYNTHETIC FLUID???3 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
No i do not recommend that you mix non-sythetic with synthetic. It will not mix well.A:
Yes, this fluid will mix fine with "non-synthetic" DOT 3 & DOT 4 fluid. However, check the fluid requirements for your vehicle. If it specs a DOT 4 fluid, do not use a "compatible" DOT 3 fluid as it has a lower boiling point & may cause problems in ABS systems. Also, NEVER mix DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluids with DOT 5 (silicone) fluid as they are not compatible. Finally, as JRW mentioned, DOT 3 & DOT 4 fluids do need flushing every 2 years because they absorb water from the atmosphere. This absorbed water will corrode your metal brake lines & components if you don't flush your fluid regularly.VERIFIED BUYER

Valvoline reports this product mixes well with conventional fluids.
