First one purchased would not properly seat on distributor housing. Spent just about an hour trying to figure out if I was installing it incorrectly. Returned for one of same brand, re- checked engine application which was correct. Although part number was different by one digit. But the install fit was perfect. Went right in the first attempt without any problems. No hassel with return at counter. Could feel change in engine performance, but changed rotor, plugs (E3's) and fuel filter as well. So it may as well be a combination of parts.

Advanced crossed referenced to my model: Engine # F23A1-1150238 for '98 Honda Accord. Housing is 15% too small and will not attach. Wasted a trip to the store. Bring your original cap to size it up before leaving the store.

Website shows two possible caps and rotors for '98 Accord. This is for the Tec distributor. FYI it came with the gasket/o-ring although this is not noted in the description.
Was for relative's car out of town, so I had to buy this and the Hitachi cap and rotor and return the ones that didn't work.

My son needed a new distributor cap for his 1991 Honda Accord Coupe. Easy to find online. They had it ready at our store of choice quickly. He was able to pick it up and install it easily.

The distributor cap seems fine but did not come with a replacement O-ring, whats with that? I had to actually go to the store and get one. If I knew I was going to have to do that I might as well have just bought everything by going in to the store to start with. Frustrating!

I bought this cap thinking it would fit my 2001 Honda Accord. As it turns out, there are two different distributor types on these cars. My car has a Hitachi distributor which this cap will not fit. This cap fits the TEC distributors. Moral of the story, check the manufacturer of your distributor before buying. It'll save you a trip.
