The unit is not accurate as it registers 5 degrees warmer than the actual outside temperature and there is no way to calibrate the unit. Sensor would not stick to the door jam. I had to use my own double stick foam tape. Basically it is a worthless unit and Advanced Auto should find a better outside thermometer to offer their customers.

this item was a cheaply made piece of junk, it was defective right from the start. the sensor would not stick to the frame of vehicle(especially after I cleaned the area with rubbing alcohol). the same with the device itself. It would be worthwhile to purchase a higher price better quality product.

I was very disappointed in the quality of this product. Wanted an outside/inside thermometer for my car. The backlight did not work at all when batteries inserted. The design is really not functional. You have to run a wire from the inside placement to the door frame for the outside temp to record. The sensor for the outside gauge did not stick well to the door frame. The outside temp recorded, but all the wire that has to be hidden and then you have worry if the sensor will stick permanently to the door frame. The product is not worth the trouble, in addition to the backlight not working from a new package. Poor quality, even for the price range. Would not purchase another one.
