I did a complete drainage and cleaning of the trans fluid. The old fluid was thick, chunky, brown. The new fluid provied a much smoother shifting.

Worked. Put the product in during filter change. Can't tell any improvement, but did not make transmission worse. It went on sale immediately after I purchased product which was very annoying because it was on sale before I bought it but I did not get the discount buying it online, every though the advertised discount was online.

With respect to your inquiry on the Castrol Dexron/Mercon Domestic Multi-Vehicle ATF - Part No. 03520 the automatic transmission fluid can be changed from time to time in order to extend the life of the transmission. “Changing” the fluid is not the same as “flushing” the transmission, which is a much more complicated job. Flushing should be done every 50,000 miles or so while changing can be done as often as every 10,000 miles. If you are changing the fluid, about 50 percent of the fluid will remain in the transmission. To (flush) remove all the fluid (including the fluid in the torque converter), you must flush the transmission completely.
