Dayco Curved Radiator Hose

Dayco Molded Radiator and By-Pass Hose with knitted reinforcement and all synthetic EPDM rubber construction provides the high strength and resistance to oil, mud, salt, road debris, ozone, coolants, and temperature variations of -40°F (-40°C) to +257°F (+125°C) that are required for OEM hose replacements. The inner base tube is reinforced with knitted rayon for maximum strength and burst resistance for the life of the hose. In addition to meeting SAE J20R4, Class D-1 requirements, this hose is now designed to meet Type EC electro-chemical requirements as specified in SAE J1684; which prevents inner tube deterioration caused by the build up of static electric charges.

My water pump was about to go out. (belt was noisy and the pump would make a terrible screeching upon start up if not already warm) I decided to replace the pump, upper and lower hoses, thermostat then flush the system, add coolant and bleed. Got to the upper hose and it looked different then then the one installed. It is longer than the original and when installed, does not fit correctly in orientation I tried. Any orientation I turn it it has a kink in it. I even tried switching the ends, no luck. I GUESS you could cut it and make it fit but I returned it and bought another from someplace else that was an exact match. Car runs fine now. I like shopping at advance and this is the first time they have let me down. Will replace the belt later as it looks ok for now.

This hose was almost perfect, I had to remove 1-1.5 inches off from one side of the hose. Now that the hose was modified so that the curves would be flush with the engine.

If you are doing a coolant drain and/or flush you might as well change the hoses as rubber does not last forever. This is an easy install and cheap insurance against a breakdown.

Good quality-slightly thicker hose wall than original, very sturdy. Had to cut 1/2" off at H2O outlet end to make fit w/out possible kinking
