Comments about BWD Coolant Temperature Sensor:
Easy to install. You will need a 1" wrench or an adjustable wrench and a little thread sealant. You will loose no engine coolant so don't worry about making a mess or having to top off the coolant. It took all of about 10 minutes on my 1995 Mustang GTS and now my coolant fan works as it is supposed to.

Comments about BWD Coolant Temperature Sensor:
I had to remove the throttle body and use a deep socket to get on top of this sensor. throttle body was only held on by 4 bolts on a 92 Explorer. Easy install.

Comments about BWD Coolant Temperature Sensor:
Looks and works just like the OEM part.
Use an adjustable wrench to remove and replace.
That is the easiest way to do this one. It is in a tight spot.

Comments about BWD Coolant Temperature Sensor:
My coolant sensor went bust so I go where I always go, Advance, of course they had the part in stock and an hour later my truck was back up and running. The only difficulty I had with this part was that its packed in there pretty good, so it took a little while to get the sensor out, but it went in great and works perfect!

Comments about BWD Coolant Temperature Sensor:
Bought a sensor from autozone and it fit correctly. Put it in the car and it wouldnt start. I tried 2 more of the same part and they did not work. Went to advance and bought this part. Much better construction than the AutoZone one, copper threads instead of plastic ones! Plugged it in and the car runs perfect!

The Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor ("ECT" for short) is an analog sensor which, as it's name says, measures the temperature of the coolant and feeds this data to the on-board computer. The ECT is usually located in coolant passage just before the thermostat. Depending upon the make and model of the vehicle, its location may vary.
