    Comments about BWD/Intermotor Coolant Temperature Sensor:

    3 stars reflects "average" - this part does what it is supposed to do.

    Check engine light in 2005 Accord prevented passing state emissions inspection. Fault code suggested changing temp sensor, which I did. Engine light turned off after about 70 driving miles.

    Only minor issue was getting the harness to clip onto replacement sensor as well as it did on original sensor. Prep time (lifting front of car and undoing plastic bottom engine shield) took longer than changing sensor. Be sure to get a deep socket (mine was 3/8" 17mm) beforehand if you do not already have one. Also, you may have to top off coolant depending on how fast (or slow) you are in replacing sensor. Put a catch basin beneath sensor to catch any coolant.

    Bottom line...check engine light is off, passed inspection and have a renewed sticker on my license plate.

    Ordering online (and picking up in store) saved me 10%...not that part was terribly expensive to begin with.

        Yes, if this part is bad it could possibly affect the fans turning on and off. However with out the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. We would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not solve or be the problem.
