Don't waste your time or money on this! Put this in my car a year ago because my previous had a crank in it and i have had nothing but problems! It won't hold water, bubbles out! So got new cap to try to fix it from bubbling out and what does this stupid weak plastic part do but crack! This was the second one!

third time replacing the tank! stock tank failed after 90000miles of life. replaced with this Dorman tank. within half-a-year, the Dorman tank cracked open from the bottom, still under warranty, replaced with a same tank. This second tank now threads are gone. Now i have to replace it again~

Apparently these all suffer the same problem, because the replacement I received was just as bad. Cap will not tighten. Took my car in to get radiator flushed, and they could not do it because the cap kept popping off. Trying to fit a Ford OEM cap the shop had laying around also did not work, indicating the tank threads may be bad.

Cap would not tighten and kept letting fluid come out. It would click like was tight but wasn't. Was not at the spec 16 lbs. Had to re-install my old cap and that fixed the problem.
