Comments about BWD Coolant Fan Switch:

The result look up for a 93 Del Sol gives this item as direct replacement---Totally Wrong! I was told it shows directly below distributor--that's right but is controller engin temp monitor, not the fan switch. The Beck/Arnley is the fan switch and is located at the far end of the bottom radiator hose! It is normally open and closes when temp exceeds internal setting of appx 190f.

Comments about BWD Coolant Fan Switch:

This was purchased for a 94 Honda Civic EX coupe. TFS600P (BWD) coolant fan swith was defective. It had continuity when it was cold and it should not. It worked like a jumper wire. The fan would turn on with the key in the on position. I learned from Borg Warner that part number TFS600 is made from better materials and is of better quality construction. I exchanged for the TFS600 (note no P in the part number)switch and it works properly. Time will tell regarding the durability of this part.

Nothing special about this item. Replaced OE switch that failed. Also, has been in the car for more than a year without any issues.

                        A:

It basically senses the temperature of the coolant and when the coolant reaches a certain temperature, this switch will turn the fan on.
