Comments about Haynes Chevrolet and GMC Pickup '88-'98 Repair Manual:
First of all, I found out later that if I were to go to Haynes directly and purchase it, it would still be cheaper. Not to mention I could have probably got it for 1/2 that from Rock____.com. It tries to cover too many commonalities for the huge generation of Chevrolet/GMC trucks from 1988-1999. Because of this, it never gets into the specifics of repairs of the Yukon/Blazer/Tahoe/Suburban SUV styles. I have had the guides for the 97-07 Wrangler, 93-97 Grand Cherokee, first 2 generations of Dakota, 94-04 Mustang, 2nd gen Escort, and (most telling) the 00-06 Yukons. All of them seem to cover a bit more specific information when it comes to repairs, etc. The book is great for someone who looks at the truck and goes "I'M LOST!" But for someone who has no issues tearing apart any vehicle that is in front of him/her, it is too basic, and too expensive for the lack of information.

Photos are a little hard to see detail and determine what part and where it is sometimes. A great tool for a novice like me. A good companion with utube videos.

Comments about Haynes Chevrolet and GMC Pickup '88-'98 Repair Manual:
This repair manual is great, with a few flaws. It covers a great deal about Chevrolet pick-up repairs.
One thing I noticed is the Photos aren't necessarily the best of quality. The pictures have no color (Not really a con), but some of the photo angles make it hard to tell what they're trying to highlight. One photo is taken above the hood looking down onto the inner fender, and unless you recognize certain parts of the engine bay, you wouldn't know where they're taking the picture from, hence you wouldn't know the general location of the part they're trying to capture.
Some of the instructions are bland, like "Remove *insert part here*". Usually with those instructions, the part they're covering ISN'T hard to remove anyways, even to someone who doesn't use a Repair Manual (Such as spark plugs or something of that nature).
All in all, this is a great Manual. It shows you how to remove Body Panels, which I found to be a very big plus. I would definitely recommend this to someone who is a "Do it Yourself" person / Mechanics. If I buy a different vehicle in the future, One of the first things I do is buy a Haynes repair manual for that vehicle; Just for peace of mind.
